Silent by design: add the trend's song on TikTok.* ## What you get back One continuous shot, no cuts. The camera starts on your shoes, rises through your legs and torso to your face, catches the shoulder bump, and then the slow motion takes over: the coffee arcs out of the cup and your sunglasses fill the lens before the camera passes through them and settles on the tumbling drink. Your photo replaces the walker; the street, the bump and the camera stay exactly as they are. ![The walker](https://tiny-desk-video.com/media/drink/seat-walker.jpg) **The walker** One full-body photo, shoes in frame. ### **Three frames from the clip** The feet, the bump, the frozen cup. Only the walker changes. ![0–2.5 s: the camera low on your shoes, backing away as you walk](https://tiny-desk-video.com/media/drink/frame-1.jpg) *0–2.5 s: the camera low on your shoes, backing away as you walk* ![3.6–4.2 s: a stranger's shoulder catches yours and your head snaps](https://tiny-desk-video.com/media/drink/frame-2.jpg) *3.6–4.2 s: a stranger's shoulder catches yours and your head snaps* ![7.8–10 s: the camera racks focus onto the drink, hanging mid-air](https://tiny-desk-video.com/media/drink/frame-3.jpg) *7.8–10 s: the camera racks focus onto the drink, hanging mid-air* ## What is the bullet-time coffee trend? It is the AI clip everyone calls the drink fly bump: a woman walks a sunlit European street on the phone with an iced coffee, a passer-by bumps her shoulder, and in deep slow motion her gold-rimmed sunglasses and the cup lift off and tumble into the lens. The camera passes straight through the tinted lens, the frame warms to amber for a beat, and then it racks focus onto the cup and holds on the label. It started on Instagram on 26 August 2026, posted by the AI creator Liza with a dessert shop in Saratov, Russia. The reel passed 715,000 likes. Five days later a tutorial explained how to recreate it with yourself in it, and that video did 2.5 million views on TikTok — which is where the name, the prompt and half the internet's versions came from. CapCut templates followed in early September. The format is unusual for a trend: it is a product reveal wearing a comedy hat. The bump is the setup, the slow motion is the spectacle, and the last two seconds are a close-up of a drink. That is why brands picked it up faster than most memes, and why people also search for it as “sidewalk collision”. ## How to make the bullet-time coffee video One photo and one button. There is no prompt box, because the shot is already decided. 1. **1**### **Add one full-body photo** The clip opens on your shoes and rises to your face, so the whole outfit is in frame. Head to toes, facing the camera, in clothes you actually want to walk in. 2. **2**### **Pick a resolution** 480p, 720p or 1080p. The credit cost sits on the button before you pay; 1080p is an AI upscale of the 720p master. 3. **3**### **Add the sound yourself** The clip ships silent — the trend's track is a licensed record. Post it, then pick the slowed song on TikTok or Reels so the audio hits where the bump happens. ## The one seat: the walker One seat because the clip follows exactly one person. The stranger in the beige suit who bumps you is regenerated as somebody else every run, so nothing about him comes from your photo, and nothing of yours goes on him. ![The walker](https://tiny-desk-video.com/media/drink/seat-walker.jpg) **The walker** Walks the sunlit street on the phone until a stranger's shoulder catches yours. Replaces the walker. The street, the bump and the camera stay. ## What makes a good photo here The camera starts at your ankles and ends on your face, so this wants the whole body — and shoes you are happy to see in close-up. ### **Works** - Full body, head to toes, standing and facing the camera - The full outfit, including the shoes: they open the clip - Sharp and evenly lit; the face is small until the crane reaches it - No sunglasses on in the photo — the clip's sunglasses are the prop ### **Does not work** - A waist-up photo: the legs and shoes are the first two seconds - Two people in one frame — they merge into one walker - A dark or backlit photo: the slow-motion half throws you out of focus - A photo where you are mid-stride with your arms up Same portrait rules as every other effect on the site.
