**Stateside Dance AI · the ego boost routine**

# Put yourself in the Stateside dance

**One photo, fourteen seconds, the whole routine on the song**

Upload one photo and get the Stateside dance with your face on it: the bounce, both hands on the head, the hip pops, the hand flicks by the face, the kick and the big arm raise at the end — one fixed camera, one take, the song underneath.

- **1 photo**
- **14 seconds**
- **9:16 vertical**
- **30 fps**
- **Original song**

*Fourteen seconds, one fixed take, the Stateside song underneath.*

## What you get back

One continuous shot from a phone at chest height, no cuts. You stay in frame from head to shoes while the routine runs: bounce, hands to the head, elbows out, hand flicks, kick, and one arm high for the finish. Your photo replaces the dancer; the room, the camera and the timing stay exactly where they are.

**The dancer**

One full-body photo, head to toes.

### **Three frames from the routine**

The bounce, the head, the finish. Only the dancer changes.

## What is the Stateside dance trend?

Stateside is the TikTok routine set to PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson’s “Stateside” — the line everyone mouths is “boots, that’s my ego boost”. The moves are simple to describe and hard to do cleanly: a bounce, both hands on top of the head, elbows out with a hip pop, quick hand flicks beside the face, a kick, and a big arm raise to finish.

The song landed in October 2025 and the dance took off in December: a tutorial in mid-December passed 12 million views, a solo reel on 23 December passed 17.9 million, and a duo version in January passed 15 million. Most reels credit the choreography to the Los Angeles dancer Brandt Ski, with the line “dc: brandt ski”. In February 2026 the figure skater Alysa Liu skated her Winter Olympics gala to the remix and brought a second wave of people to it.

Almost a year after the peak, AI video sites opened one-photo Stateside templates at the end of October 2026, which is what brought the routine back. That is the version here: the routine, the room and the song come from the trend, and the dancer comes from your photo.

## How to make the Stateside dance video

One photo and one button. There is no prompt box, because the routine is already decided.

1. **1**### **Add one full-body photo**

The dance has kicks, steps and an arm raise, so the whole body matters. Face to the camera, head to toes in frame, in the clothes you want to dance in.
2. **2**### **Pick a resolution**

480p, 720p or 1080p. The credit cost sits on the button before you pay; 1080p is an AI upscale of the 720p master.
3. **3**### **Download and post**

14 seconds, 9:16, MP4, no watermark, with the Stateside song already under the picture. Keep the platform’s AI label on when you post.

## The one seat: the dancer

One seat because the reel is a solo routine. The room, the camera and the timing are fixed, so the only variable is who is dancing — and that is your photo. There is no duo version here; for two people use the Hop Hop Hop swap or the 58th Floor rap.

**The dancer**

Bounce, hands on the head, hip pops, hand flicks, a kick and the arm raise at the end.

Replaces the dancer. The room, the camera and the timing stay.

## What makes a good photo here

This is one of the two effects on the site that wants a full-body photo: the routine is kicks, steps and arms, and the camera never comes closer than head to shoes.

### **Works**

- Full body, head to toes, standing, facing the camera
- Sharp and evenly lit — the dancer is small in frame for all 14 seconds
- The clothes you want to dance in: they come from the photo
- One person, with nothing held in the hands

### **Does not work**

- A cropped headshot: the render invents a body and the kicks give it away
- Two people in one photo — they merge into one dancer
- A dark or backlit photo: the face is small enough already
- A photo shot mid-jump, where the arms are already up

Same portrait rules as every other effect on the site. [**Tiny Desk AI photo requirements**](https://tiny-desk-video.com/stateside-dance-photo-guide)

## What a Stateside dance video costs

Fourteen seconds against a fourteen-second reference is twenty-eight billed seconds: 7 credits at 480p, 16 at 720p, 26 at 1080p. Each of those is exactly one pack.

| **Cast** | **480p ** | **720p ****Best value** | **1080p ** |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| **1 person**One photo, one dancer | **7**credits | **16**credits | **26**credits |

Priced per finished video, never per seat. 1080p is an AI upscale of the 720p master.

Credit packs: 7 credits for $6.99, 16 for $14.99, 50 for $44.99. Credits last 12 months. [**Pricing**](https://tiny-desk-video.com/pricing)

## One photo, one routine, fourteen seconds

Use a full-body photo — the kicks and the arm raise are the whole point.
