# Terms of service

**Short version**

- 18+ only. Use photos you own or have consent to use. No celebrity, minor, or non-consenting uploads.
- Credits buy render time. No free trial, no subscription. Failed renders refund credits automatically.
- Output is AI-generated fan entertainment based on one fixed 19-second performance — not a real broadcast.
- Independent fan project. Not affiliated with NPR, the Tiny Desk series, Charlie Wilson, The Gap Band, or any label.
- Likeness is not guaranteed; our remedy for a technical failure is a credit refund.

By creating an account or pressing Make my band video, you agree to these terms. Last updated 29 October 2026.

## The service

Tiny Desk AI is a website that replaces between one and five performers in a fixed 19-second vertical band clip with portraits you provide. The performance, audio and camera cuts are fixed. We do not offer a custom scene, a different song, or a free-text prompt.

## Eligibility

You must be 18 or older. You must own each photo or have clear permission from the person pictured. Celebrity photos, photos of minors, and non-consenting third parties are prohibited. We may refuse, delete or refund a job that appears to break this rule.

## Credits and rendering

One 19-second video costs 7 credits at 480p, 14 at 720p or 24 at 1080p, regardless of how many seats you fill. Packs are described on [Pricing](https://tiny-desk-video.com/pricing). There is no free trial. A render that fails upstream refunds its credits as set out in the [refund policy](https://tiny-desk-video.com/refund-policy).

## Output and acceptable use

Videos are AI-generated. Use them as personal, non-commercial fan clips. Do not present a result as a real broadcast, a genuine appearance by the people pictured, or a news clip. Do not imply affiliation with NPR, the Tiny Desk series, the artist, the label, or any sports organisation. This is an independent fan project.

The full content rules, moderation process and enforcement ladder are in the [acceptable use policy](https://tiny-desk-video.com/acceptable-use).

## Your content

You keep whatever rights you already had in your portraits. You grant us a limited licence to process those files to run the render you requested and to show the result back to you. Do not upload illegal, abusive or non-consensual imagery.

## Accounts

Keep your password to yourself. We may suspend an account that abuses checkout, automates scraping, or uploads prohibited photos. Sign-in uses email and password without a verification email today; that does not lower the 18+ rule. There is no self-serve password reset — email [help@tiny-desk-video.com](mailto:help@tiny-desk-video.com) from your login address. To delete your account and data, use the same address.

## Limitation

The studio is provided as-is. Identity replacement depends on the photo you supply and on the upstream model, and it can miss — especially for people who are small or partly hidden in the wide shots. Our responsibility for a failed render is a credit refund as described, not a guarantee of a perfect likeness, and not a cash payment.

## Copyright and takedowns

The reference performance and its audio are not ours. If you are a rights holder and want the reference or a specific output removed, write to [help@tiny-desk-video.com](mailto:help@tiny-desk-video.com) with the details and we will review it promptly.

## Changes

If we change these terms, the date at the top moves. Continued use after that date is acceptance of the new text.
