**Short answer**

Bullet-time coffee is the AI clip also called drink fly bump or sidewalk collision: a person walks a sunlit street with an iced coffee, a passer-by bumps their shoulder, and in deep slow motion their sunglasses and the cup lift off and tumble into the lens. The camera passes through the tinted lens, the frame warms to amber, and then it racks focus onto the drink and holds on the label. The original was posted on Instagram on 26 August 2026.

# What is bullet-time coffee?

Three names for one ten-second clip: a bump, a frozen cup, and a camera that walks through a lens.

Updated 2026-11-05

## Three names, one clip

| **Name** | **Where it comes from** |
| --- | --- |
| **Drink fly bump** | The name the recreation tutorials gave it in September 2026 |
| **Sidewalk collision** | Describes the bump: the shoulder that starts the whole thing |
| **Bullet-time coffee** | Describes the freeze: the cup and glasses hanging in the air |

If you have seen all three names and wondered whether they are different trends, they are not. Same clip, same moves, same song.

## What the camera does

The whole ten seconds is one unbroken move, which is what makes it hard to fake and easy to recognise:

- 15 cm off the ground, tight on the walker's shoes, backing away at walking pace.
- A crane up through the legs and torso to the face: on the phone, coffee in the other hand, sunglasses on.
- A stranger in a beige linen suit walks in from the right and their shoulders catch.
- Slow motion: the cup slips and the coffee arcs out, the sunglasses lift off the face and tumble at the lens.
- The camera passes through the tinted lens — the frame warms to amber for a beat.
- A rack focus onto the tumbling cup, then a macro hold on the label.

## Where it came from

An AI creator posted the clip on Instagram on 26 August 2026 with a dessert shop in Saratov, Russia. It passed 715,000 likes. On 31 August a tutorial explained how to recreate it with your own face and drink, and that video did 2.5 million views on TikTok — which is where the name, the prompt and most of the versions came from. CapCut templates followed in the first week of September.

## The song

The viral versions run on “Montagem Alquimia (Super Slowed)”, a slowed Brazilian funk track. The sound is why the clip also travels as the Montagem Alquimia trend. It is a licensed record, so our render ships silent and you add the sound on the platform.

## Why it matters beyond the meme

This is the first trend on this site built to sell something. The camera pass through the sunglasses is a transition, the macro hold is a pack shot, and the drink's label is the punchline. Brands noticed: that is why the same format now runs with perfume, cans and sneakers.

## How to make one

1. **1**Take a full-body photo with your shoes in frame: the clip opens on them.
2. **2**Pick a resolution: 480p to test, 720p to post, 1080p for the upscale.
3. **3**Post it, then add the slowed track on the platform so the beat lands on the bump.

## What it costs

Five credits at 480p, seven at 720p, twelve at 1080p — per finished video. Ten seconds against a ten-second reference is twenty billed seconds, which is the cheapest full-scene render on the site.

Credits first, then the photos. Pick one seat or all five — the price is the same.
