The clay couple explained" --- > Index of every page on this site: [llms.txt](https://tiny-desk-video.com/llms.txt) **Short answer** Mr and Mrs Stretchy are AI-made clay cartoon characters from the TikTok channel mr\_.stretchy: a very tall lanky husband with huge ears and a long rubbery nose, and his wife in a floral headscarf. Their kitchen skits passed tens of millions of views in October 2026, and the trend now is putting your own couple photos into their coffee clip so the two clay figures become clay versions of you. [**Open the Stretchy studio**](https://tiny-desk-video.com/#create) # What is Mr and Mrs Stretchy? Two lanky clay cartoons, one cottage kitchen, and the coffee that never reaches the mug. Updated 2026-11-04 ## Who the clay couple are Mr and Mrs Stretchy are not actors in costumes and they are not a filter on a real couple. They are a pair of AI-generated claymation characters posted by the TikTok channel mr\_.stretchy, which describes itself as little stories from a magical AI world. Every post carries the ai and ai\_video tags. - Mr Stretchy: extremely tall and lanky, spiky brown hair, ears like satellite dishes, a long round nose, an olive t-shirt and khaki cargo shorts. In close-ups he wears black rectangular glasses. - Ms Stretchy: a floral headscarf, a pink floral cardigan, a long brown skirt and white socks. The trend is usually written Mr and Mrs Stretchy even though the creator uses Ms. - Their home: a cosy cottage kitchen with sage-green cabinets, ivy over the shelves, warm sunlight and a long wooden counter. ## The clips that built the trend The hashtag mr\_stretchy first appeared on 9 October 2026. The wife, ms\_stretchy, arrived on 27 October with the clip that made the couple famous, and by 2 November the channel had 987,000 followers. | **Date** | **Clip** | **Plays by 2 Nov** | | --- | --- | --- | | **10 Oct 2026** | The pancake flip in the kitchen | 8.1M | | **27 Oct 2026** | Flowers and dinner | 8.5M | | **27 Oct 2026** | “Please help me”: coffee miss and milk flood | 8.2M | | **29 Oct 2026** | Living room, glasses close-up | 10.9M, the most viewed | By 3 November the mr\_stretchy hashtag held 726 TikTok videos and 137.7 million views, and ms\_stretchy 164 videos and 45.7 million views. The how-to posts started on 29 October; a closed CapCut template appeared the same day. ## Why it took off - It is relatable first and absurd second: who makes the coffee, who cleans the counter, who is standing there watching. - There is no dialogue. A bouncy cartoon tune and a few sound effects carry the whole thing, so it travels without subtitles. - It kept coming. New clips landed almost daily through the end of October. - It is a self-insert. People did not want to watch the couple, they wanted to be the couple, which is exactly the shape a photo-to-video product needs. ## AI or real? AI, and openly so. The channel tags every post ai and ai\_video, and the characters have no real-world counterpart. Yours is AI as well: you never performed the coffee miss, the thumb or the arm stretch, so keep the AI label on when you post it. ## The CapCut template, and how this differs | | **CapCut template** | **This studio** | | --- | --- | --- | | **Where it runs** | Inside the CapCut app | In the browser | | **Photos** | Two, one per face | One or two, one per seat | | **Look** | Your own faces, clay styling | Full clay body: ears, nose, noodle arms, bare feet | | **Sound** | Add it yourself | The reel's tune mixed under the picture | | **Length** | Fixed by the template | 15 seconds, 9:16, 720p master | ## What the render changes, and what it keeps - Changes: the two clay faces, which become clay versions of the people in your photos — face shape, hair, skin tone and glasses included. - Keeps: the fixed low camera, the counter, the red mug, the coffee jar, the spilled grounds and the milk. - Keeps: the timing. Coffee miss in the first four seconds, milk flood at nine, the arm stretch at twelve. - Keeps: the sound. The bouncy tune and the sound effects are muxed under the silent render. ## How to make one 1. **1**Pick a close, sharp photo of each person. One photo is enough: it takes the tall seat on the right. 2. **2**Decide the order. Photo one is always the left figure who pours; photo two is the tall one who gets the thumbs-up. 3. **3**Generate, check the first four seconds for the likeness, then post it 9:16 with the AI label on. ## What it costs Seven credits at 480p, sixteen at 720p, twenty-six at 1080p — per finished video, not per photo. Each of those is exactly one pack: $6.99, $14.99 or $44.99. ## Frequently asked questions **Make a video** ## Ready to hear your band? Credits first, then the photos. Pick one seat or all five — the price is the same.
