You upload one full-body photo, and the studio returns the same 15-second clip with you as the scorer, in your own clothes. Updated 2026-11-04 ## The goal is real On 1 November 2016, in a Champions League group game in Sofia, Arsenal were 2-1 down against Ludogorets. Mesut Özil ran onto a long ball, flicked it over the goalkeeper as he came out, let two defenders slide to the ground and rolled the ball into the empty net. It finished 3-2 and it was the winner. UEFA’s match report calls it a stunning solo effort. | | **Detail** | | --- | --- | | **Date** | 1 November 2016 | | **Competition** | Champions League, group stage | | **Venue** | Sofia, away at Ludogorets | | **Result** | Arsenal 3-2 Ludogorets, Özil scoring the late winner | | **The move** | Long ball, chip over the diving keeper, two defenders sliding, empty net | That is the whole reason the clip works as a template. There is no dribble to fake and no crowd of bodies to keep track of: four clean beats, in order, all read from a low camera behind the play. ## How it became an AI format in October 2026 | **Date** | **What happened** | | --- | --- | | **9 Oct 2026** | A how-to video shows people how to recreate the goal with any character in an AI video tool | | **9 Oct 2026** | A creator posts a version with a blocky video game villager as the scorer: 1.9M views, 224,200 likes and 76,100 shares inside two days | | **10 Oct 2026** | The same account posts a version with an AI-made grandma in a floral dress as the scorer | | **11 Oct 2026** | The sound of the first viral clip is on 304 TikTok videos; the ozilgoal hashtag holds 78 videos and 1.3M views | From there the format spread sideways rather than up: pandas, clowns, cartoon characters, grandparents, TV characters, people in suits. The football stopped mattering and the casting became the joke. ## Why the wrong person scoring is funny The other half of the joke is the clothes. Every version keeps the scorer’s real outfit — a floral dress, a suit, pyjamas — because a floodlit Champions League pitch is the last place that outfit belongs. A football kit is the one choice that makes the video less funny. ## AI, and not real footage Every version of this trend is generated. No broadcast footage is used: the pitch, the stand, the floodlights and the other players are rebuilt, which is why the kits have no badges and the advertising boards carry no readable logos. That matters for two reasons. First, you are not in a real match and the video should say so. Second, the other players are not real either, so there is no Özil, no Ludogorets shirt and no match footage to license. ## What one photo actually changes - Changes: the scorer. Their face, hair, skin tone, build, clothes and shoes come from your photo and stay on for all 15 seconds. - Rebuilt: the goalkeeper and the two defenders — new adults in plain kits, never the people from the reference clip. - Keeps: the low tracking camera, the timing, the chip, the two slides and the empty net. - Keeps: the sound. The trend’s song is muxed under the silent render. ## How to make one 1. **1**Take a full-body photo, standing, facing the camera, in the clothes you want to score in. 2. **2**Pick a resolution: 480p to test the likeness, 720p to post, 1080p for the upscale. 3. **3**Generate, watch the first four seconds, and post it 9:16 with the platform’s AI label on. ## What it costs Seven credits at 480p, sixteen at 720p, twenty-six at 1080p — per finished video. Each of those is exactly one pack: $6.99, $14.99 or $44.99. ## Frequently asked questions **Make a video** ## Ready to hear your band? Credits first, then the photos. Pick one seat or all five — the price is the same.
