Short answer
Tiny Desk AI is a web tool for the “Outstanding Tiny Desk” meme. It takes the same 19-second vertical band clip every version of the meme uses, and replaces up to five performers with photos you upload. The music, camera moves and four hard cuts are kept exactly as they are, so the output still looks like the clip people already know.
Make my band videoWhat is Tiny Desk AI?
A fixed 19-second performance, five seats, and the faces you choose. That is the whole product.

Most AI video products generate a scene from a text description. Tiny Desk AI does the opposite. The scene already exists and is already good: a 19-second vertical clip of a band performing, with four hard cuts, one wide band shot, one close-up and a sax solo. Nothing about it needs to be invented, so nothing about it is regenerated.
What changes is identity. Five seats — lead singer, keyboard, two backing vocals, saxophone — can each be replaced with a person you upload. Seats you leave empty keep the original performer.

Why it is not a text-to-video generator
A text-to-video model asked for “a band playing in a record store” will invent a new band, new framing and new timing every run. That is the wrong tool for a meme, because the meme depends on the audience recognising the exact clip. Keeping the reference fixed also makes the output stable: the cuts land on the same frames every time.
What you can and cannot control
- You control: which of the five seats change, whose face goes in each, and the delivery resolution.
- You cannot control: the song, the camera moves, the cut timing, the clothes inherited from the reference, or how large a person appears in a wide shot.
- You do not need to: write a prompt, upload a video, install an app, or edit a timeline.
Who it is for
Friend groups, sports teams, offices, wedding parties and anyone who wants their own cast inside a clip the internet already recognises. It is built for vertical social video, not for film production or commercial advertising.
